Have you ever wondered where you could find tinnitus relief? Are you even aware of what tinnitus is? Some people have what is described as a ringing in their ears. This is known as tinnitus, and is a condition that affects millions of people.
Sometimes tinnitus is due to an exposure to extremely loud sounds such as a loud rock concert or even listening to something with headphones that has been turned up louder than the acceptable decibel range for the ear. Sometimes it can be due to stress or anxiety in a person’s life. In both these instances, tinnitus generally goes away after a change is made such as ceasing to listen to the loud music or dealing with stress.
However, there is also a more permanent type which occurs because the natural buffer in your ear has been destroyed in some way. According to medical experts, when the buffer is no longer there the individual can actually hear the movement of fluid inside the brain as it moves.
While there is no 100 percent cure for this type of tinnitus, there are several prescription and over-the-counter remedies for tinnitus available. Niacin is one of the prescribed medications for tinnitus, but is still in the experimental stage as far as proven reliability. There are also many herbal mixtures available both in the store and online that claim to help reduce the effects of tinnitus however, they also have not been proven to be 100 percent effective.
If you are someone who suffers with tinnitus, the best word of advice in looking for treatment would be to proceed with caution. As with many medical and non-medical treatments there are always side-effects one should be aware of.
